Price increase of 9% from 08.11.2021
The currently very sharp rise in freight costs for goods transport and the unchanged high raw material prices are forcing us to adjust our sales prices again.
Various causes have meant that global freight transport has been working at its load limit for months. The global consequences of this are drastic supply bottlenecks, reduced availability in the transport of goods and rising procurement prices.
There is currently a surplus of demand for transport capacity from Asia to Europe and the US – on a scale never seen before. The rapid price development in international freight transport is currently unprecedented. Freight costs for air and sea freight from Asia have recently risen many times over. An easing of the situation is not to be expected, at least until the end of the year.
We, as an internationally operating company, are strongly affected by this development. The increased freight surcharges and the unchanged high raw material prices force us to adjust our sales prices again.
Therefore, Jakob Rope Systems will increase the general price surcharge from 4 to 9 % on the current sales prices as of 8 November 2021. This applies to all orders from 08.11.2021. Excluded from the inflation surcharge are our services, existing offers during their validity and already negotiated prices. The surcharge for our Habegger products remains unchanged at 4%.
Should the raw material and freight situation ease noticeably in the coming months, we will of course react promptly with an adjustment.
