We donate: Support instead of gifts
This year, Jakob Rope Systems is once again foregoing Christmas gifts and instead sending a message of solidarity. We are making targeted donations to support people in Vietnam and Sudan who are in urgent need of help.
As in previous years, Jakob Rope Systems will not be giving Christmas gifts to our customers, partners, and suppliers this year. Instead, we would like to make a contribution to people who urgently need our support and solidarity.
Help for Vietnam
Severe environmental disasters have hit Vietnam hard this year. November in particular was marked by heavy rain and massive flooding, which destroyed homes, threatened livelihoods, and sadly also claimed lives. Fifteen employees of Jakob Rope Systems Vietnam and their families have also been directly affected by the impact of these events.
To provide help, we are donating USD 5,000, which will be distributed to the affected employees as family support. Each affected person will receive VND 9,000,000 to cover their most urgent needs, such as accommodation, food, and medical care.
Help for Sudan
The dramatic situation in Sudan also fills us with great concern. The escalating civil war has resulted in a devastating humanitarian crisis: millions of people are fleeing, and there is a lack of food, medical care, and security.
For this reason, we are also supporting the Swiss organization “Glückskette” with a donation of CHF 5,000 to help the suffering population in this region.
