French légèreté and Swiss solidity

Pedestrian bridge ‘Simone de Beauvoir’

The pedestrian bridge named after the French philospher Simone de Beauvoir is one of the most popular crossings of the Seine.

The pedestrian bridge ‘Simone de Beauvoir’ over the Seine in Paris was inaugurated in the summer of 2006. It is one of the most popular new crossings of the river. Jakob Rope Systems supplied the stainless steel Webnet for the railing of the bridge, which has been awarded the ‘European Steel Award’. In this example, Webnet convinces again with regard to its aesthetics, economy, and security.
