Slope winch ropes: Jakob delivers from express warehouse

Only as thick as a ballpoint pen in diameter, they can bear the full weight of a snow groomer on a steep slope. Slope winch ropes are the tough workhorses in Jakob Rope Systems' wide range of ropes. Their special construction gives the ropes maximum load-bearing capacity and smooth running characteristics.

During the seasonal operation of a ski resort, slope winch ropes can be damaged unexpectedly. Replacements are then needed at short notice. In order to supply our customers in the ski resorts in Germany as quickly as possible, we are now setting up an express warehouse at our site in Göppingen. This means that we can be reached quickly in an emergency by German winter sports resorts and those close to the border.

Our range of ropes

Jakob Rope Systems offers two types of slope winch ropes – all for retrofitting to Kässbohrer and Prinoth vehicles. Our Winch King 9 as a 9-strand special rope with a diameter of 11 millimetres is optimized for the capstan winches of Kässbohrer vehicles. And our Winch Power 8 as an 8-strand special rope with a diameter of 10 or 11 millimetres is used on the drum winches of Prinoth vehicles. The express warehouse in Göppingen will initially have 1050 meters of rope with a diameter of 11 millimetres in stock for both vehicle manufacturers.

Our services

We support our customers throughout the entire service life of their ropes. Jakob Rope Systems advises on all questions relating to the purchase, use and also the condition or damage of existing ropes. Our customers can send us photos or material at any time. We then assess it in the factory and provide feedback. On request, we also offer training courses on the use of slope winch ropes.
