Notre Dame Cathedral Paris: Securing with Webnet stainless steel nets
Initial situation and concept:
After the devastating fire in 2019, which destroyed a large part of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, extensive renovation work had to be carried out. The aim was to restore the destroyed and damaged parts and make the city's landmark fully accessible to the public again.
Construction and implementation:
This project required extensive expertise. Jakob Rope Systems was commissioned as a subcontractor to Baudin Châteauneuf to secure the sensitive areas of the monument. Webnet stainless steel nets, which are approved by the building authorities as vertical and horizontal safety devices, are used for the safety measures.
Jakob Rope Systems planned and supplied all integrated Webnet and rope solutions. The Jakob installation team also carried out the on-site installation. Our goal was to deliver the safety and durability required by the authorities while preserving the historic architecture of this French cultural heritage site.
